About this group
Fingal Rowing Club is a newly established coastal rowing club. We train 5 nights per week from May until August and complete in Regattas along the East Coast. We also compete in long distance rows. Our membership is growing bringing together people in our community of all backgrounds and abilities from ages 20-55. We have a waiting list of people wanting to join us. We are currently building our own racing standard skiff.
Reasons to support this group
We are a newly formed developing club brining toegether people from throughout the communtiy. We formed a club based on a dream to achieve more in the sport of rowing and develop individual skills. We rescued an old skiff which was abandoned and through hard work, team work and determination our club was born. We have achieved a massive amount both on and off the water. We are proudly the 10th East Coast club. We tirelessly fundraise towards developing our club and sport.
We are hoping to have our racing standard skiff ready soon. Everyone is working together towards this project which will enable us to be less reliant on other clubs and give us our own resources to be independent and to take part in Regattas and long races. Currently we rely on the good will of our fellow clubs to loan us a skiff to compete.
We want to develop the social and physical wellbeing of people in our sport and help them achieve the goals and learn new skills.
