About this group

Our club races radio controlled model cars. They are "off road" racing cars which we race at our indoor track in Naul Co. Dublin. We currently have 43 members with an average of 25 attending the club each week. We are the only club on the island of Ireland that are racing this particular class of model car. We have people travelling from Belfast, Athlone, Wexford and Galway as well as all around the Greater Dublin area each week to attend the club.

Reasons to support this group

  • We are a small group that puts everything back into our club. We can only rely on members to support us financially as we are not looked upon as a sport in Ireland. Even though RC Car racing is recognised as a motorsport or a sport in its own right across the UK and Europe (and indeed the world). We have a small following here in Ireland compared to other countries and we would like to expand this.
  • Currently members from our club have been representing Ireland at European Championships and World Championships every year (at their own cost), and we are working to eventually change this. As we do not get any financial support from any government body or local council, we need to look at other methods for support.
  • We want to encourage young people to get into our sport. In order to do this we need "club cars" to allow people to have a go. We would like to use any donations we get to increase our resources and allow us to make it a more accessible sport for people to try.
